LVGS Clinics are improved for 2012!
Information on the clinics is below. The indoor ‘Winter’ clinics have moved from Chesterbrook, to the Philadelphia Sports Club (aka Highpoint) at 202 and Schoolhouse Lane).  This offers Parents a temperature controlled facility, complete with restroom facilities. Based upon feedback clinics have expanded from 4 to 6 consecutive weeks beginning February 4. Introductory Pitching Clinics remain at 4 weeks and are offered at North Branch Park, once the season begins (March 31). Clinic Registration will be at Unami Middle School Saturday January 14 and 21, from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon. All clinics will be held Saturday afternoons.

LVGS is also offering an 8 week ‘Advance Skills’ clinic (for 12U & 14U girls) on Sunday’s from 11:30 until 1:30. The ‘Advance Skills’ clinic begins Sunday January 22 through March 11. Registration for this clinic is online only. Click on the Registration tab, (to the left) to register for the clinic.

On the field, LVGS will again offer Sunday Select for 10U and 12U’s. Following a successful 8U Fall Ball Program, LVGS will offer Sunday Select Program for the 8U’s in 2012. The 8U Sunday Select program will play other community teams in and around the Lenape Valley area, using a pitching machine. Other leagues have adopted this program and have seen improvement in girl’s batting skills.

The Parent’s meeting scheduled for Thursday February 23rd (7:00 pm) will cover these and other topics including the new Skill’s Assessments for all players in the 10U, 12U and 14U intramural programs; and the all-important 2012 Lenape Valley Girls Softball SOCK VOTE!

Pitching – 2 Sessions

Advanced (14U & 12U)

LVGS is offering 1 hour indoor pitching clinics on Saturdays (1:00, 2:00, or3:00) for 6 weeks (catcher not included). Winter pitching clinics will be Saturday February 4^th thru Saturday March 10^th. Clinics are 6 consecutive weeks and are on a first come first serve basis!

Limit 4 girls per 1 hour of instruction.

Cost: $80 for 6 weeks (Register at Unami MS, January 14^th & 21^st)

Intermediate & Beginner (12U & 10U)

LVGS is offering 1 hour outdoor pitching clinics on Saturdays (1:00, 2:00, 3:00, or 4:00) for 4 weeks (catcher not included). Spring pitching clinics will be Saturday March 31^st thru Saturday April 21^st. Clinics are 4 consecutive weeks and are on a first come first serve basis!

Limit 4 girls per 1 hour of instruction.

Cost: $50 for 4 weeks (Register at Unami MS January 14^th & 21^st)
 

Catching – 2 Clinics (Advanced-14U & 12U, Intermediate-12U & 10U)

LVGS is offering 1hour indoor catching clinics on Saturdays (1:00, or 2:00) for 6 weeks (equipment provided by LVGS). Winter catching clinics will be Saturday February 4^th through Saturday March 10^th. Clinics are 6 consecutive weeks and will be filled on a first come first serve basis!

Limit 10 girls per hour of instruction.

Cost: $80 for 6 weeks (Register at Unami sign-up, January 14^th & 21^st)
 

Batting & Agility – 2 Clinics (14U, 12U, & 10U)

LVGS is offering 1hour indoor batting, and agility skill clinics on Saturdays (3:00, or 4:00) for 6 weeks. These Winter clinics will be Saturday February 4^th through Saturday March 10^th. Clinics are 6 consecutive weeks and will be filled on a first come first serve basis!

Limit 12 girls per hour of instruction.

Cost: $75 for 6 weeks (Register at Unami MS January 14^th & 21^st)
 

Advanced Skills – 1 Clinic (14U & 12U)

LVGS is offering 2hour indoor advanced skills clinics on Sundays 11:30 to 1:30 for 8 weeks. The Winter Advance Skills clinics will be Sunday January 22^nd through Sunday March 11^th.

These clinics are designed for girls that want to improve skills in preparation for the spring season. Clinics will be taught by LVGS Coaches focusing on individual skills (batting & fielding), infield position skills, and game time situation skills. Clinics are 8 consecutive weeks and will be filled on a first come first serve basis!

All indoor clinics will be at Philadelphia Sports Club (aka Highpoint, Highpoint Drive between Schoolhouse Lane & County Line Road). Highpoint is heated and has functioning restrooms. Outdoor Clinics will be at North Branch Park.
